Trefoil service updates and Trefoil code to be release

Panote and I patched the bugs in Trefoil service at http://s.trefoil.shiroyuki.com regarding to error during registration and the updates is now available in the source code control. I deeply apologizes for that.

The another updates is that we are going to officially release the full version of Trefoil. The release date is sometimes before the end of this month. Please stay tunes on http://shiroyuki.com/blogs/trefoil.

30% complete on Trefoil

It has been a while that I did not update the blog. It was pretty stressful for a couple weeks where I have to work so hard to finish off the leftover of the projects at work and so intensive UI development on Trefoil. Finally, more than 30% of the first version is done. Most of them are basic file operations on both frontend and backend, basic security schema and synchronization.

I’m pretty happy where it is now but still have administrative system, security, deployment procedure and final design to land.

Updates on Yotsuba and Trefoil

Although I was kinda busy with the work, I managed to pull myself to continue the development on two projects: Yotsuba and Trefoil.

For Yotsuba, I made some significant change on the XML parser again. As I comment in the code,

Normally, this package is already instantiated upon importing this library (Yotsuba).
However, when the user instantiates an instance of this class, the internal
term here is “Standalone Mode”

See the example in http://doc.shiroyuki.com/yotsuba/lib/kotoba.html. The good news is the old code is still working fine. Although the accuracy of the parser is approximately 98%.

For Trefoil, I have nothing to say much as I haven’t talked to Panote last week. However, on the UI side, the interface is finally settled down in major parts. The implementation is not near to completion yet.

The ground-breaking of Trefoil

After 6 years of prototyping, the final architectural  design of Trefoil, formally Com2Net, has been finalized.

The original developmental plan of Trefoil was sometimes around September as I was the sole developer. Fortunately, I got help from my friend, Panote Siriaraya, in Thailand in the platform development. It was fortunate to get more people involved even though I didn’t plan to get my hands on the project this early.

We have actually started the development for a while but I didn’t find time to properly announce the first step of the development.

While I am still working everything, Panote is working on the system engine (or the platform system).

The project is now active and available at Google Code. If you want to join, just say it!
